Congratulations on getting the job! I work as a HCA and it's bloody hard work and (sometimes) rewarding but I've got invaluable experience from it that I can apply to medicine. Like the other day a doctor asked me how to put the side of a bed down (??!!)...it baffles me how someone can go through 5 years of medical school without ever putting the side of a bed down! But at least it'll never happen to us! Good luck for tomorrow!! What kind of ward are you doing your training on?
